Daffodils maybe the easiest and most dependable to grow of all flowers. They are very hardy and virtually pest free and animals like deer will not bother them. The common daffodil bulbs are not expensive and you can buy sacks of them in most garden centers at a reasonable price. The bulbs multiply and a patch will grow over the years.

Daffodils like sunny locations with moist and well drained soil. They don't like high nitrogen concentration in the soil, so straight manure or any high-nitrogen fertilizer should be avoided. It is important not to cut back the leaves until they are brown and dead. After blooming, the leaves enable the bulb to get ready to bloom for next year.
